There are all types of pujas and religious activities happening at the Narayani Amma Peedam in Toronto. Everyone is invited to come and join us. There are weekly pujas and bhajans, full moon pujas every month, annual celebrations like Sri Sakthi Amma birthday and Sri Narayani Proclamation Day celebrations and the commemoration of all other auspicious days (i.e. Ganesha Chaturthi, Shivarathri, Navarathri, Krishna Janamashthami, etc.). There are also charitable events like feeding the homeless and social events dedicated to raising funds for the various welfare projects.

Pujas

Lighting of the Lamp - A ghee lamp is lit everyday at the Narayani Amma Peedam.

Nyvediam (Ceremonial Feeding) - Nyvediam or ceremonial feeding is also done every day at the Narayani Amma Peedam.

Kalasa Puja - Every Friday evening there is the Sri Narayani Puja from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Full Moon Puja - Each month there is Full Moon Puja from 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Annual Pujas & Yagams:

Amma's Jayanthi (Birthday) - On January 3rd each year, devotees come out in large numbers to join in the celebrations and receive Amma's blessings. The celebrations begin with a procession of all devotees around the Narayani Amma Peedam followed by bhajans while devotees perform pada puja to Amma's crystal padukas. Then there is the Ganesh Puja, followed by a fire puja, aarathi and closing prayers. After this, there is the cutting of the cake by all the youngest devotees (i.e. children) of Sri Sakthi Amma.

Sri Narayani Proclamation Day - On May 8th each year is the celebration of the day Beloved Amma proclaimed to the world the purpose of Her descent and mission. Devotees come out in large numbers take part in the celebrations and receive Amma's blessings. The celebrations begin with a procession of all devotees around the Narayani Amma Peedam followed by bhajans while devotees perform pada puja to Amma's crystal padukas. Then there is the Ganesh Puja, followed by a fire puja, aarathi and closing prayers.

After the pujas, there is the cutting of the cake by all the youngest devotees (i.e. children) of Sri Sakthi Amma.

Other Annual Pujas - Other auspicious days as per the Hindu Calendar are also celebrated and invitations are sent out by email giving the dates and times, these can also be found in the calendar under Upcoming Events.
