Sri Sakthi Amma was born on the 3rd of January, 1976 and it was evident from birth that this baby was divine and very special. A distinct, divne ray of light (Namam) on the baby's forehead was vividly visible along with the symbols of the "Chakra" (Wheel) and the "Sanku" (Conch) on either side of the chest. Through this, the divine connection was established and people recognized the child as very special.

From a very early age the child exhibited a profound interest only in spiritual life. As a child, Amma participated eagerly in Pujas and Yagnas (Religious Ceremonies) and would insist on visiting places of worship on a daily basis. On many occasions, Amma would be absent from school and would be found on temple premises or at places where religious activities were being conducted.

By the time Amma was sixteen years of age, it was clear that miracles and manifestations were an integral part of Amma's nature, wherein people, even children recount showers of flowers when Amma entered the classroom; gallons of milk continuously oozing out of Amma's mouth and so on.

On an auspicious day, 16 year old Amma was commuting by bus sitting near the window, gazing towards the sky. Suddenly a ray of energy traveled from Amma into the sky and took the form of Goddess Narayani. Goddess Narayani was dressed in white, adorned with 'Sanku '(Conch) in the left hand, 'Chakra' (Wheel) in the right, a Lotus Flower in the third and the fourth held up in the blessing posture. After the form was revealed, it disappeared and the ray of energy returned to Amma's body. It must be distinctly noted here that the energy went out from Amma and returned after the form had been revealed. This signified that the time had come to disclose to mankind the Avatar, the purpose and to commence the mission.

On the 8th of May, 1992, Sri Sakthi Amma proclaimed to the people, the Avatar of Goddess Sri Narayani and the purpose. Extraordinary Siddhis (Miraculous Powers) were demonstrated to make the message clear. One lady who constantly questioned the Divine form, was asked to close her eyes and when she opened her eyes had a divine vision of the splendid form of Goddess Narayani with the majestic lion. The divine form in a divine voice vowed "Whenever Dharma declines and Adharma rises, I take birth in the world. Now I am born here as Narayani. My name is Sakthi Amma".

Many miracles continued to be witnessed, drawing several hundreds each day to receive Amma's Darshan (blessings), Prasadham (offerings) Kumkum (vermillion powder), Vibuthi (sacred ash), Fruits & Flowers and to get remedies for their ailments and problems. As the congregation grew, the institution known as Sri Narayani Peedam (seat of the Goddess) was established to serve the needs of society and to created peace and harmony.

Amma's Pujas, Yagams, Sevas, Discourses on truth and righteouness and various mega community development projects are all being conducted to elevate people into the realms of spirituality. To awaken the spiritual being in each individual, to bring prosperity and peace to mankind is Amma's mission.
